A Blue Man Group video will be featured at the National September 11 Memorial Museum.

The museum has announced “Rendering The Unthinkable” will be the first exhibition in their new special exhibition space and will feature work by 13 different New York City-based artists’ reactions to the event.

Blue Man Group's “Exhibit 13” video will be featured in the exhibit, which showcases the responses of a small group of individuals whose artistic preoccupations in response to 9/11 offer complementary explorations of common themes and whose presentation now offers an opportunity to look back to that moment 15 years ago when the unthinkable became real.

On display in the presentation will be Blue Man Group’s “Exhibit 13” song and accompanying video. Inspired by scraps of paper that blew from the World Trade Center into the yard of their rehearsal space in Brooklyn on September 11, New York residents and members of Blue Man Group, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman and Phil Stanton, wrote the song “Exhibit 13,” which features spoken recitations of the papers’ contents.

When “Rendering the Unthinkable” debuts to the public on Sept. 12, the exhibition will be the museum’s first presentation specifically designed for its special exhibition gallery, where future displays will explore a range of topics related to the history of 9/11 and its aftermath.
