Here is a list of cultural, community and food festivals taking place in 2017 in the Las Vegas valley.

17TH ANNUAL TASTE AND SOUND OF SOUL FOOD FESTIVAL
WHEN: Feb. 25-26
WHERE: Fremont Street Experience
WHAT: Enjoy barbecue, soul food, creole and more. DJ's will play soul, blues, oldies and R&B music throughout the event.

MARDI GRAS FESTIVAL
WHEN: Feb. 25
WHERE: Springs Preserve
WHAT: Featuring live music from Howlin’ King Crawdad, food from local Southern eateries, festive adult beverages, a parade, and crafts for the kids, the family-friendly Mardi Gras Vegas will bring the tastes and sounds of the Louisiana bayou and the colors and fun of Mardi Gras to the heart of the Southern Nevada desert.

LAS VEGAS CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL & PASTRY SHOW
WHEN: April 5
WHERE: SLS Las Vegas
WHAT: Featuring the most-celebrated chocolatiers, pastry chefs and confectioners. Benefits Nevada Ballet Theatre.  

16TH ANNUAL PURE ALOHA FESTIVAL
WHEN: April 20-23    
WHERE: Silverton
WHAT: Food and beverage vendors, carnival rides, Polynesian entertainment and more.

PIRATE FEST
WHEN: April 21-23
WHERE: Craig Ranch Regional Park, North Las Vegas
WHAT: The annual event features cardboard boat races, entertainers, food, games and activities, costumes and live entertainment.

BLUES WITH A SIDE OF BACON
WHEN: April 22
WHERE: Henderson Pavilion
WHAT: This blues and bacon filled festival stars Victor Wainwright, Miles Mosley and Jarekus Singleton. Food and beverages available for purchase along with vegetarian options as well.

32ND ANNUAL BOULDER CITY FINE ARTS FESTIVAL
WHEN: April 22-23
WHERE: Bicentennial Park, Boulder City
WHAT: Large fine art festival in Boulder City. Food and beverage vendors and live entertainment.

LAS VEGAS TASTE OF THE CARIBBEAN
WHEN: April 22
WHERE: Las Vegas Arts District
WHAT: Latin, Caribbean, West Indian and other international food, traditional, cultural and modern costumes from Latin America, the Caribbean and West Indies, live entertainment, and more.

GREAT AMERICAN FOODIE FEST
WHEN: April 27-30
WHERE: Sunset Station
WHAT: More than 50 of the nation's food trucks, specialty food vendors, carnival rides, beer garden and live entertainment. 

LAS VEGAS MELA INDIAN FOOD & CULTURAL FESTIVAL
WHEN: May 6
WHERE: Clark County Government Center Amphitheater
WHAT: Food, singers, fashion show, Bollywood dancing, vendors and more.

LAS VEGAS HIGHLAND GAMES
WHEN: April 29-30
WHERE: Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs
WHAT: Live music, highland games, traditional food, bagpiping competitions and more.

38TH ANNUAL SAN GENNARO FEST
WHEN: May 10-14
WHERE: Craig Ranch Park
WHAT: The popular San Gennaro Feast is a family-oriented festival held in honor of the Saint, Gennaro. The festival features a wide variety of ethnic food vendors, live national acts hourly on the main stage, a amusement rides and game fun for the whole family.

ART FESTIVAL OF HENDERSON
WHEN: May 13-14
WHERE: Henderson Events Plaza
WHAT: This family-friendly event will feature a variety of contemporary artists, fine craft, fashion and home décor artisans, as well as chalk art masterpieces. There's also live entertainment, delicious food and activities for the kids.

SPRINGS PRESERVE OHANA FESTIVAL
WHEN: May 6
WHERE: Springs Preserve
WHAT: Great food, live music, performances by local hula schools, cultural workshops, island crafts activities, an outdoor luau with kids games, and more!

HELLDORADO DAYS
WHEN: May 13-14
WHERE: Downtown Las Vegas
WHAT: Parade and rodeo.

SPRINGS PRESERVE ICE CREAM FESTIVAL
WHEN: May 20
WHERE: Springs Preserve
WHAT: Family-friendly events features stations serving ice cream sundaes, novelties and root beer floats, with fun for all ages including live entertainment, face painting, storytelling, a pirate magic show, carnival games, a bubble play station, an ice cream eating contest, and more.

LAS VEGAS EPICUREAN AFFAIR
WHEN: May 25
WHERE: Palazzo Pool at The Palazzo
WHAT: Described as gourmet event of the year. Enjoy cuisine and cocktails from the city's best chefs and mixologists. Benefits Nevada Restaurant Association's educational programs.

13TH ANNUAL BEST DAM BARBECUE CHALLENGE
WHEN: May 26 and 27
WHERE: Boulder City
WHAT: A professional barbecue competition and family-fun event.

SNOW MOUNTAIN POW WOW
WHEN: Dates unconfirmed. Usually May.
WHERE: Paiute Indian Reservation
WHAT: Dancing and musical performances by various tribes from around the Southwest. Food and beverage and craft vendors.

BIG DOG'S SUMMER BEER FEST
WHEN: Dates unconfirmed. Usually June.
WHERE: Big Dog's Brewing Company
WHAT: Enjoy tastings of several dozen beers, great food and live entertainment during this annual festival.

LAS VEGAS GREEK FOOD FESTIVAL
WHEN: Dates unconfirmed. Usually held in September.
WHERE: St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Festival
WHAT: Enjoy Greek food and pastries, dancing, live music, vendors, church tours and more. Annual event is fundraiser for the church.

SPRINGS PRESERVE ASIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL
WHEN: Sept. 23
WHERE: Springs Preserve
WHAT: Be dazzled by the music, dance and costumes of the Far East during the annual Asian Heritage Celebration. Enjoy tasty traditional foods, live entertainment and fun activities for all.

LAS VEGAS BIKE FEST
WHEN: Oct. 5-8
WHERE: Downtown Las Vegas
WHAT: Annual event features large display of motorcycles, food/beverage vendors, merchandise vendors, special events, live entertainment and more.

LAS VEGAS FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL
WHEN: Oct. 5-8
WHERE: SLS Las Vegas
WHAT: Featuring an eclectic selection of elegant fare from locally-renowned celebrity chefs.

AGE OF CHIVALRY RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
WHEN: Dates unconfirmed. Usually early October.
WHERE: Sunset Park
WHAT: Large multi-day ren fair features re-enactments, games, camps, food/beverage vendors, artists and crafters, live entertainment and more.

SUMMERLIN FESTIVAL OF ARTS
WHEN: Oct. 14-15
WHERE: Downtown Summerlin
WHAT: Summerlin Festival of Arts is a popular and established outdoor art festival that also features music, food and entertainment. More than 100 artists participating.

SPRINGS PRESERVE DIA DE MUERTOS
WHEN: Nov. 3-5
WHERE: Springs Preserve
WHAT: This 3,000-year-old Hispanic celebration honoring loved ones is full of joy and tradition. This family-friendly event blends rich customs with exciting activities such as live theater and dance performances, altars, mariachis, face painting, sugar skull decorating and an art exhibition.
