Curacao, the California-based retail giant with department stores throughout the southwest, is hosting a grand opening for its first Nevada store at Meadows Mall on Oct. 1 beginning at 9 a.m.
The day-long event features deals on a variety of products, free food and drinks and a prize drawing for a new car, LG 75-inch 4K Smart TV and a new Samsung family hub refrigerator.
Mario Lopez, host of TV’s Extra, Broadway performer and New York Times best-selling author, will make a special guest appearance at 6 p.m. to headline a full line-up of entertainment that begins at 4 p.m. It also includes a special Tribute to Michael Jackson by Jalles Franca; a performance by the Ultimate Elvis Tribute artist, Cody Ray Slaughter; and performances by Ana Victoria, Ninel Conde, Pablo Montero and Jose Manuel Figueroa Aerial Circus Act.
A product “fashion show” featuring all the latest and greatest gadgets is scheduled for 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. The audience can participate in a raffle.
