Adam Sandler gets a Las Vegas residency

The star of "Happy Gilmore" and "The Waterboy" is coming to Las Vegas.

Adam Sandler will headline a series of comedy shows at The Chelsea theatre inside the Cosmopolitan hotel-casino on Nov. 10, 17, and Jan. 27. More dates will be announced in the future.

Sandler is the first comedian resident at the Cosmopolitan, according to Vice President of Entertainment Fedor Banuchi.

The star's films have grossed over $3 billion worldwide. His three films "The Ridiculous 6," "The Do-Over," and "Sandy Wexler" are the most-watched movies on Netflix to date.

Tickets for Sandler's shows at the Cosmopolitan go on sale Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. You can buy them here or through Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000. Prices start at $49. The show is intended for mature audiences only.
