ACLU receives Frederick Douglass Award for civil rights advocacy

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Nevada was honored by the College of Southern Nevada with the Frederick Douglass Lecture Series: Lifetime Achievement Award on Dec. 1.
 
ACLU received the award for their civil rights advocacy and legal work on behalf of Nevadans.
 
"This award is a reminder of the commitment to education, advocacy, and defense of freedom exemplified by Frederick Douglas," said Tod Story, ACLU executive director. He added that the organization appreciated the recognition for their work.
 
ACLU is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to the defense and advancement of civil liberties and civil rights in Nevada.
