Faith Conservatory presents "James and The Giant Peach"
9:15 AM, May 14, 2017
Faith Conservatory of the Fine Arts will present the musical “James and the Giant Peach” over two weekends May 12 – 21, 2017.
Based on the beloved story by Roald Dahl and book by Timothy Allen McDonald, the new musical features music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, otherwise known as Pasek and Paul, the Oscar-winning songwriting team behind the film, “La La Land."
The hilarious musical tells the story of James, who, when he is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, discovers a magic potion which results in a tremendous peach – and launches a journey of enormous proportions.
Suddenly James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities, but after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements.
Thanks to James’ quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building.
Tickets for “James and the Giant Peach” range in price from $6 - $20. Tickets to the following performances are on sale now and may be purchased via www.FaithConservatory.com:
