Lay's has announced 8 new flavors of potato chips and the flavors definitely sound interesting.

The new flavors, which are inspired by different regions of the country, are : Cajun Spice, Chili con Queso, Chesapeake Crab Bay Spice, Deep Dish Pizza, Fried Pickles with Ranch, New England Lobster Roll, Pimento Cheese, and Sweet Thai Chili.

We are all about cheese ahd chili and sweet chilis. And we love pizza. The ones we aren't so sure about are the Chesapeake Crab Bay Spice, New England Lobster Roll, Fried Pickles with Ranch and Cajun Spice chips.

The Chesapeake Bay Crab Spice (Pacific Northwest) chips get their flavor from a custom-blend of Old Bay and other spices. Tasters report a hint of seafood flavor.

The Fried Pickles with Ranch (Midwest) chips reportedly taste exactly like dill pickles with a hint of fried batter and ranch dressing.

The Cajun Spice (South) chips sound the most promising. Lays didn't skimp on the spices and the Louisiana-style flavor is described as "spot-on."

Lays says it wanted to bring the "flavor of fresh lobster served on a buttery grilled roll" to the New England Lobster Roll (Northeast) chips. Tasters are reporting they mostly taste like sour cream.

The Pimento Cheese (South) chips feature the flavors of sharp cheddar and a dash of cayenne pepper. In this case, tasters say the chips are missing the pimento kick.

The Deep Dish Pizza (Midwest) chips also sound like they are a bit disappointing. Even though they have a strong pizza smell, tasters say they are missing the cheese flavor.

The Chili con Queso (Southwest) chips taste like cheddar queso with a dash of paprika.

Lays is also bring back some other popular regional flavors. They include West Coast Truffle Fries, Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Popper, Fried Green Tomatoes and Ketchup.

Other interesting chip flavors released by Lay's have included Crispy Taco and Southern Gravy & Biscuits.

Sadly, the new flavors won't be available everywhere. The chips will only be available in their home markets. They will hit the shelves on July 30. However, you can order them online. Just click here.
