A Marine veteran in Wisconsin is claiming that he was fired because he wants to bring his service dog to work.

Shaun Kettner suffers from PTSD and says that he needs the dog named Sig to help him focus in his daily life and cope with stress.

He is now in the middle of a legal battle with his former employer L&S Electric and the Veterans Administration, according to WGBA-TV.

L&S Electric says that Kettner failed to complete proper paperwork in order to bring Sig to work. Kettner says that the VA has refused to sign the paperwork over concern that some of the questions violate HIPPA laws.

Kettner was initially suspended without pay in March. He received a message from the company last week that he had been terminated.

The letter says that Kettner resigned, which he denies. He says that he has made many attempts to show the company that he wants to come back to work.

Kettner says that he has received the paperwork to file a formal discrimination charge against his company through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
