A Las Vegas family is cleaning up a mess after a water pipe burst inside their apartment.

According to the Williams family, their unit at the Mirabella Apartments, located near Bonanza Road and Eastern Avenue, has flooded twice since they moved in a year ago.

"This will be the fourth leak, but second actual flood," said mother Shannon Williams.

Williams said the flooding is all due to a pipe that continues to burst. The last time the pipe burst was before 4 a.m. Thursday.

"I said mommy why is the floor like a swimming pool," said Jasmine Williams, Shannon's 6-year-old daughter.

Shannon said her bedroom mattress was soaked along with clothes, toys and other personal items, but she worries more about her daughter's health.

Shannon said the family had to sleep outside Thursday morning since the apartment was flooded.

"She has asthma and she has seizures," Shannon said. "if she had gone through a medical crisis, we literally had a waterfall at the doorway."

Shannon said the apartment maintenance man did fix the leak, but wonders if they could do more to prevent the pipe from bursting again.

13 Action News spoke to the onsite property manager at Mirabella Apartments who said they had fixed the pipe and they couldn't determine when it will burst again.

Shannon did tell us once we left the complex, a manager visited the family and promised them a full inspection of their apartment to determine if they could relocate the family.
