Valentine's Day is a day to show your love to your significant other, but for some it can be a sad or angry day.

A new Las Vegas attraction is turning the heartache into catharsis.

Axe Monkeys Las Vegas, an indoor axe throwing facility, hosted a party for ladies on Tuesday.

"You're mad at your ex or whoever you're divorcing," said Dania Magallon. "You throw an axe at them."

They're calling it Axes for Exes.

Women lined up in front of a target with a man's face on it. They didn't know him, but his picture is one of the first results to come up when you search "jerk," and they know his type.

"I had a bad breakup, got cheated on so now I'm ready to take my anger out," Magallon said.

Instructors at Axe Monkeys tell us women tend to throw the weapons better than men. They say it might be because men love to try to be macho about it.

"Women definitely take to it," said Keith Waggoner, a lane supervisor. "I don't know if they just listen better than the guys, they're less arrogant or they just have that finesse naturally."

The women taking their frustration out on Valentine's Day said the activity helped them feel closure for past relationships.
