Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Finding the perfect partner can be a challenge, especially if you're a list-maker. If you're too picky, you could be single for more time than you want.

If your first thought was height, weight or hair color when picking the perfect person, you might be disappointed more often than not.

A well-known ophthalmologist in New York City caught heat recently when his ideal woman email went viral. It included requirements like "size 0-2" and "college educated."

But experts said the key to finding love is putting physical attributes low on the priority list.

While checklists may seem like a good way to narrow down your options, they can actually bog down the dating process. Personality checklists are far more productive.

Experts also said to keep in mind the things that are absolute deal breakers.
