New York (KTNV) -- There's a new, synthetic drug that has hit the market. It's one drug some scientists had never heard of until recently.

It's a natural herb, stored in a small foil packet and smells sweet like incense.

Its nickname is "Crazy Clown."

It's linked to kids getting hospitalized, foaming at the mouth and having seizures. Some cases have even been fatal.

Investigators and scientists said they've never seen anything like this.

Researchers are trying to find out what "Crazy Clown" really is, but have no answers yet.

They've discovered that a package of the synthetic drug runs about $30 to $50.
