California student films teacher allegedly stealing money
Linden, CA (KTNV) -- A student stakeout leads to a cry for justice at a California high school.
A sophomore claims she has proof that her teacher was stealing money from students.
Cell phone video shows the teacher picking through the gym locker room, going through pockets and backpacks.
Justine Betti said she was motivated by a string of thefts that nobody could explain.
She hid inside of a locker and set up two cameras. She said she never expected to see her teacher rifling through her things.
"I couldn't believe it. It was hard to believe she was doing that. She was such a nice teacher, I really like her, but I couldn't believe she was doing that," said Betti.
Betti took the video home and then to school administrators.
The school said they're doing a full investigation and put the teacher on administrative leave.
