(KTNV) -- Two men in New Jersey are suing Subway, the popular sandwich shop.

They claim that their footlong subs are actually only 11 inches along instead of 12.

They want money from Subway and a change in marketing prices.

The two men say that they measured footlong subs at 17 shops and that the missing inch makes a difference.

ABC News measured six Subway footlongs from three different shops in New York and they all measured up.

The outcome of this lawsuit could legally determine in a footlong sub is a literal or figurative definition.

Subway tells ABC News that they don't comment on pending litigation.
