Dental assistant fired for being "irresistible"
(KTNV) -- A dental assistant in Iowa was fired for being "irresistible" to her boss and the courts have agreed with the decision.
The all-male Iowa Supreme Court ruled Friday that Melissa Nelson was not fired because of her gender but because her boss and his wife felt that Nelson was a threat to their marriage.
Nelson was hired in 1999 as a dental assistant for James Knight.
According to documents, Knight warned Nelson that she was wearing clothing that was too tight and that she ignored his requests to change her manner of dress.
