MARCELLUS, Mich. (AP) -- Bear the Lab is a lifesaver. That's what Patricia Drauch and deputies say about the family's pet.

The Michigan mom says Bear saved her 14-month-old son Stanley, who had fallen into their swimming pool.

According to Cass County deputies, Stanley was blue with his face up in the water, when his mother found him.

Deputies tell the Kalamazoo Gazette the dog had the toddler on his back and was holding Stanley out of the water.

Undersheriff Rick Behnke tells WOOD-TV it's an amazing story.
