Vegas Golden Knights celebrate opening of practice facility

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) - The Vegas Golden Knights are coming off their first big win, after beating the Vancouver Canucks in their preseason game. Monday, the team celebrated that win, and the opening of their new practice arena.

The Vegas Golden Knights and City National Bank hosted a grand celebration ceremony at the team's new practice facility in Summerlin -- the City National Arena.

The arena is already starting to feel like home for the Vegas Golden Knights, who took to the fresh ice for rookie training camp, right before their win against the Canucks.

"The team has the amenities and the tools it needs to succeed," says Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak. "Between T-Mobile and City National, it's a great place for the Vegas Golden Knights to play and practice."

The arena will also be home to UNLV's hockey club and the Junior Golden Knights.
