A valley family's home has been victimized in a drive-by shooting of paintballs.

The shots came from a dark vehicle Monday evening.

Aldrin Colorado was inside his home near Windmill and Rainbow at the time.

"I did get scared by him looking like he was holding a real gun and thinking, 'What happens if this was real?'" Colorado said.

He says there were five shots, then two minutes later, he says the car circled back and hit his house with five more.

He doesn't know why his home was targeted or anyone who would do such a thing.

"Wouldn't expect something like that," said Justin Bristol, a neighbor. "They're really nice people."

Bristol says it's strange only one house was hit, especially on a street like theirs, that he says is generally quiet.

"I mean, paintballs are paintballs but still, it's a little bit concerning," Bristol said. "I have kids so somebody could've been walking out there and got hit."

Colorado says he plans to turn his surveillance video of the incident over to police.
