Henderson firefighters responded to a trash fire at the Transfer Station of Republic Services at 560 Cape Horn Drive, near Sunset Road and Boulder Highway.
Firefighters received the call around 4:15 p.m. Sunday. As of 5:52 p.m. firefighters were still working on putting out the flames, which affected several layers of trash. Fire crews are attempting to get to the bottom of the layers to make sure the blaze is out.
No injuries have been reported, and no structures are threatened.
