Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort expanding
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Most of us love Las Vegas weather -- no show to shovel or ice to scrape. But if you miss playing in the white stuff, it's just a short drive away.
The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard resort is expanding, preparing to triple in size. And this year, they added a new chair lift for beginners. Kids can start taking lessons now at 3 1/2.
Ski school manager Emily Santome says that the ski resort is the perfect family outing for locals.
"I grew up on this mountain. I was raised skiing here. My daughter just turned five. She's been skiing here. It's a beautiful place and there aren't too many places like this where you can get connected with the family."
There is another six weeks of skiing on the mountain. Then head up for their summer programs including scenic chair lifts, hiking, and outdoor concerts.
