MAKING LAS VEGAS A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE
NV Energy employees spend month serving community
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Make a difference day falls in October, but a group of Las Vegans decided to make it make a difference month. They're making Las Vegas a better place to live.
Hundreds of NV Energy employees spent the month serving our community. They gave more than 1600 hours to causes that matter to them. Everything from Lose a Pound with your hound, which benefits the animal sanctuary, to Boys Night Out where employees played games and mentored the kids. Doretha Graham-Easler handles Community Relations for NV Energy. She says, "It's important that they give back to the community in which they live and work. It's not a stress for them, they really enjoy giving back to the community and volunteering and giving their time." Employees volunteered at ten different events around Las Vegas supporting a multitude of causes.
