UPDATE ON FEB. 28: The Clark County Coroner identified the man killed in a crash on Sunday as 21-year-old Alejandro Jaracuaro from St. George, Utah.

ORIGINAL STORY

A crash near Jones Boulevard and Russell Road left one dead and five other people in the hospital.

Around 10:42 p.m. Sunday, a Mustang with four people inside ran a red light at Jones Boulevard. A Kia traveling northbound hit the Mustang, ejecting two from the back seat of the Mustang.

One of the ejected died at the hospital. The other is in critical condition. All others are expected to be OK.

The driver of the Mustang, 19-year-old Cesar Mendoza, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without a license, and failing to stop at a traffic light.

Officials say that another vehicle tried to drive through the crime scene while police were investigating. The driver of that vehicle was also arrested on DUI charges.
