Two people were hospitalized Saturday after a swarm of bees attacked several people at a Henderson yard sale.

James Guinn said he was shopping at a yard sale on the 1800 block of Dalton Drive in Henderson when he suddenly found himself under attack.

"It just turned into a horror movie pretty fast," Guinn said.

A swarm of aggressive bees flew throughout the yard stinging anyone in sight.

"People were getting stung in the eye, stung all over, getting caught in their hair, all kinds of crazy stuff," Guinn said as he described the chaos.

The Henderson Fire Department said two people had to be hospitalized due to allergic reactions.

The bees came from a home across the street where two men told 13 Action News they were trying to remove a hive from their property by themselves.

When swarms attack the best way to minimize harm is to run away and try to seek refuge in a cold house or car.
