What might seem like a normal water bottle or feminine hygiene product could actually be a place to stash marijuana and it's concerning some Las Vegas parents.

"Stash cans" can come in many forms. At one local smoke shop, 13 Action News found a water bottle that twists open to reveal a small space to stash marijuana.

"The people who are selling the 'how to hide your drugs', they're getting smarter," said Jamie Ross of PACT Coalition, a substance abuse prevention group.

Even iced tea cans, soda cans, and tampons are being used to cover up marijuana stashes. Oftentimes, the packaging boasts the products are smell-proof.

One mother said she never would have suspected marijuana would be hiding inside a tampon.

"I'm not comfortable with that at all," said Lindsay Bagley. "I obviously need to be a little bit better of an investigator!"

Ross said the "stash cans" can be very sophisticated, so the best way for parents to make sure their kids aren't hiding drugs is by talking to them about the consequences of drugs early and often.

"Know your children, know their friends, know their friend's parents," Ross said.
