A police officer heard gunshots in the area of Hacienda Avenue and Maryland Parkway around 1:10 a.m. Wednesday.
Several people nearby took shelter at a bus shelter. Police units looked for the suspect that fired the shots but could not locate anyone.
Shell casings were found in the backyard of a nearby residence. Detectives are at the scene investigating.
No injuries were reported, and no property was damaged.
