Thousands of valley seniors and their families got some big help saving money on their power bills.
NV Energy held a senior energy assistance expo at Cashman Center Saturday. Employees helped people make payment arrangements and learn about other services that can help them save money.
Seniors could apply for the energy assistance program, Project REACH.
"They helped me and I really appreciate the help. Really I do!" said Regina Tate. "And next year if anybody needs help, come, come! They do help."
other organizations offered services to seniors at the expo, including Southwest Gas, CenturyLink, Nevada Welfare Division, and the Social Security Administration.
