A new report finds Las Vegas at the bottom of the list when it comes to kids' safety.
According to ValuePenguin, the Las Vegas-Henderson-Paradise metropolitan area ranks 199 out of 200 cities, only ahead of the Phoenix, Arizona area.
In the report, schools are ranked 195th in the nation, based off preschool programs and graduation rates.
Southern Nevada is 196th in safety, looking at the number of police officers, violent crimes and registered sex offenders.
The Las Vegas valley is 158th in community, which focuses on where students spend time outside of school, along with wellness factors.
The safest cities for kids were Barnstable Town, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod, followed by Trenton, New Jersey; Norwich-New London, Connecticut; Buling-South Burlington, Vermont; and Portland-South Portland, Maine.
Reno ranked 141st on the list.
