Voter group encouraging Latinos to head to the polls
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Latino vote has become a powerful one in the state of Nevada.
Mi Familia Vota was out this morning making one last push for members of the Hispanic community to vote today.
More than 50,000 Latino voters cast votes early, which is a sizeable increase from 2008/
Mi Familia Vota has all hands on deck today at its headquarters in downtown Las Vegas.
Volunteers were busy making calls, going door-to-door and providing transportation if needed to polling locations.
The organization says that 55 percent of registered Latino voters had not voted as of this morning.
