Romney and Ryan appearing at Henderson rally Tuesday
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Fresh off Monday night's debate in Florida, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan will be making a campaign stop Tuesday in the Las Vegas Valley.
The Republican team will be making their first joint appearance in Nevada a little after noon.
The visit could have been spurred by the large number of voters that came out this past weekend for early voting. An estimated 80,000 Nevadans have already cast their ballots statewide.
The campaign battleground state has six electoral votes at stake and Romney and President Obama are extremely close in the latest polls.
The president will be back in the Silver State this week as well.
He is hosting a rally at Doolittle Park Wednesday and he is bringing some star power with him.
Pop singer Katy Perry is set to perform at the event. Doors to the rally open at 6 p.m.
First Lady Michelle Obama will also be in town this week. She will be campaigning for her husband on Friday. Details of her visit have not been released.
The Romney-Ryan rally will take place at the Henderson Pavilion off of the Green Valley Parkway and the 215. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the rally will begin at 12:15 p.m.
