RENO, Nev. (AP) -- The nation's first family is putting the full court press on both ends of the battleground state of Nevada as President Obama prepares for his first debate with Republican challenger Mitt Romney.

The president spent the past few days just outside Las Vegas at a Henderson resort prepping for Wednesday night's debate in Denver.

Michelle Obama plans to address an outdoor rally Wednesday morning at the University of Nevada, Reno. The first lady it to speak at the campus Quad where her husband drew a crowd of 10,000 almost exactly four years ago in a Sept. 30 speech. He ended up carrying Nevada on the way to the White House.

Romney's wife, Ann, campaigned in Las Vegas Monday. She told a Reno rally last week he can't win without Nevada.
