Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- President Obama will speak at Desert Pines High School on Sunday as part of a three-day stay in Southern Nevada.

After the Sunday afternoon campaign event, the President will stay at an undisclosed location in Henderson to prepare for next week's presidential debate.

It will be Obama's ninth appearance in Nevada this year.

Nevada is a key battleground state in the upcoming election. Early voting begins Oct. 20.

Doors will open at Desert Pines High School at 4 p.m. on Sunday and the president's speech is scheduled for about 6:30. It is free and open to the public to attend, but tickets are required for entrance.

Obama will be discussing the choice in this election between two fundamentally different visions of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and restore middle-class economic security.

Grammy Award-winners Mana will perform at the event.

After the rally, Obama plans to spend a couple more days in Southern Nevada, possibly in a Lake Las Vegas hotel.

He will be preparing for his upcoming debate next week against Republican candidate Mitt Romney. He was forced to cancel several practice sparring sessions because of his busy schedule.
