Today is big day for GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- It is the biggest day of Mitt Romney's political life.
Tonight, the former governor will accept the Republican Party's nomination for president.
A lot of prominent Republicans have been taking the stage the last two days at the convention in Tampa, getting the crowd fired up for tonight.
The 2008 nominee, Sen. John McCain, was among the speakers last night. Former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice also spoke.
But, the highlight of the evening was Mitt Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan.
he spoke of his own background, how he still lives on the same Wisconsin street that he grew up on, and goes to the same church that he was baptized in.
Then, Ryan tried to reassure the crowd that he and Romney can related to small-town America -- that they are just focused on the needs of the wealthy.
Democrats have been quick to point that those 12 million jobs promised by Ryan are what an independent economist has already projected under existing policies.
