The city of Henderson is officially on board with recreational marijuana sales.
Dispensaries began selling recreationally Friday morning.
"[I'm] relieved, happy, excited," said Andrew Jolley, the CEO of The Source Dispensaries. "This has been a very long road for us. It's been a three or four year road."
Armen Yemenidjian, the owner of Essence Dispensaries, says it's going to be a huge boost to his Henderson location.
He said that at his two dispensaries outside Henderson, 80 percent of the sales are of recreational marijuana.
"[Selling recreationally] is the difference of this business breaking even, or losing money, to making money," Yemenidjian said.
Henderson dispensaries can also now stay open until 11 p.m.
