Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Residents in Henderson have a new place to get out and stretch their legs.
Saturday was the grand opening celebration for Whitney Mesa Recreation Area.
The 20-acre center features tennis courts, playgrounds, BBQ pits and picnic shelters.
The $14.1 million project was funded through a grant from the Bureau of Land Management.
