Clothing drive held in honor of International Women's Day
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Friday, March 8 was International Women's Day.
In recognition of the day, the Courageous Women Clothing Drive was held in Las Vegas.
"There are shelters that can house both the victim, whether the victim is male or female, and who can house the children. So the clothing drive is basically designed to provide clothing and toiletries, the necessities that the domestic violence shelters need, in order to sustain themselves," said Tamia Dow, retired domestic violence detective.
Donations were accepted for women and men dealing with domestic violence.
