City of North Las Vegas honors heroes
North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The city of North Las Vegas honored a police officer and two other people Wednesday night.
While responding to a shooting, police officer Mario Olsson found someone bleeding from a neck injury. He inserted his finger into the wound to stop the bleeding until help arrived.
The modest officer is grateful for the attention but says it was just another day of work for him.
The other heroes -- Darren and Angelique Hardin -- were recognized for helping a 2-year-old child who had fallen into a pull.
The Hardins worked together to perform CPR on the girl that they think as one of their own.
