Program collecting supplies to prepare Military children for school
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Nevada Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and other assistance to Military families and Wounded Warriors.
Wednesday, the organization announced the annual Back-to-School Brigade program to collect new school supplies for Military children.
Operation Homefront Nevada will be teaming up with other chapters across the nation to begin collecting donated school supplies, along with monetary donations, to be distributed to the children of service members at the beginning of the school year in August.
Wednesday's launch marks the fifth annual campaign by Operation Homefront.
School supplies are being collected at several Clark County area businesses, along with Dollar Tree stores nationwide.
Operation Homefront will be distributing back packs and school supplies to Military children on Saturday, August 11, at the Floyd Edsell Training Center at 6400 Range Road in Las Vegas.
