Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- For dozens of local families, this is definitely a summer to remember.
The United Way Campaign distributed $1 million in gift cards to more than 2,000 families.
An anonymous Santa donated funds over the holidays and decided to do it again.
United Way President and CEO Cass Palmer says the money is desperately needed now, with kids out of school and families facing skyrocketing utility bills.
Each family received a $500 gift card Saturday.
