Safety experts help prevent childhood drowning
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Area safety experts gathered Wednesday at Hot N Juicy Crawfish to help prevent childhood drowning.
The restaurant on Spring Mountain is donating 5-percent of its proceeds to help local kids get swimming lessons.
Organizers of Wednesday's event say it's important to raise awareness about child drownings this time of year, especially since it's the second leading cause of death among children in Nevada.
Experts say the best thing parents can remember this summer about pool safety is the ABCD's of drowning prevention: Adult supervision, Barriers, Classes and Devices.
