Following his win Tuesday in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, Joe Heck is looking ahead to November.

He is already making jabs at his Democratic opponent, Catherine Cortez Masto.

"I can relate to people and their problems and their concerns because I've actually been there," Heck said. "My opponent doesn't have that real world experience. She's been in political life her entire career."

The two are facing off to replaced long-time Sen. Harry Reid, who is retiring this year. He spent more than three decades in Congress.

The race for Reid's seat is expected to be one of the country's most important Senate contests.
