ORIGINAL STORY

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide.

Investigators say it happened in the 4200 block of South Decatur Boulevard near West Flamingo Road on Sunday morning. It was reported around 6:20 a.m.

Arriving officers located an adult male lying in the front parking lot of a clothing store suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and several other people rendering medical aid. The man was transported to the UMC Trauma where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The Clark County coroner's office says 27-year-old Ezekiel F. Davis died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Homicide detectives determined the victim had been inside of an unlicensed after hours club that was located in a back room of the clothing store. It appears the victim had been in a physical fight with one or more people prior to being shot.

This is the 123rd homicide investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 2016.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
