UPDATE MARCH 28 AT 3 P.M.: Clark County School District police reported that a 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with a threat made to students at Durango High School.
The teen was arrested just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.
UPDATE MARCH 28 AT NOON: Las Vegas police were spread out around Durango High School Tuesday, because of a possible threat to the school.
Police are now saying the school is safe, and the threat was not "credible."
A tweet had several parents and students concerned for their safety.
The tweet was of a screenshot, claiming somebody had plans to shoot up the high school.
Some parents chose to keep their kids home from school, but other parents say they didn't know anything about the threat until after they dropped their kids off.
"It was scary, everything was so scary," says Enrique Camarena, about the moment he heard about the threat at his son's school. "That's my boy."
Some parents say they received no notification from the school about the possible threat.
According to CCSD, their parent messaging varies depending on every situation. They say in this case, since there was no credible threat, they made the decision to not send out parent notifications.
