UPDATE: Las Vegas police released the mug shot for 53-year-old Michelle Young late Thursday afternoon. Police say that Young was arguing with her ex-husband prior to the shooting.
Young is facing one count of murder with a deadly weapon. She was transported to Clark County Detention Center.
The victim has been identified as 58-year-old Henry Bankey.
This is the 117th homicide in Las Vegas this year.
EARLIER STORY
Las Vegas police were called early Thursday morning to investigate a death inside a gated community near Sahara Avenue and Durango Drive.
Police say that a woman has been arrested and that she and the deceased were in a relationship. It is believed at this time that she shot him.
Police also said that other family members and children were inside the home at the time of the shooting and someone inside called 911.
The home is located in the 8300 block of Fullmoon Maple Ave.
The Clark County coroner will release the name and age of the deceased after relatives have been notified.
