North Las Vegas seeks school crossing guards

North Las Vegas Police is recruiting for school crossing guards for the upcoming school year.

Crossing guards are responsible for assisting elementary school students safely cross busy intersections near their schools. This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $9 per hour.

Guards typically work between 6:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and between 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. They must be available to work “split shifts” every day school is in session, depending on which school they are assigned to protect. These positions are at schools located within the boundaries of the City of North Las Vegas.

Applicants must meet the following requirements: possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., pass the NLVPD Background Check and Drug Test, possess a valid Nevada driver’s license and bilingual is a plus, but not required.
