It was a busy day on Mount Charleston despite the fact that there was an avalanche near the Rainbow subdivision over the weekend.

Just one month ago, law enforcement went door to door on Mount Charleston, warning people about possible avalanches.

Nothing happened at that time, but after the mountain received even more snow, an avalanche rolled down the mountain on Saturday.

Resident Chuch Fay says that he didn't leave last month and this weekend's avalanche stopped just 200 feet from his door.

However, he is still not worried.

Authorities with Clark County say that there is still the chance of another avalanche on the mountain. But, no one is being advised to evacuate at this time.

In addition, the possibility of an avalanche didn't appear to stop many people from enjoying the mountain on Presidents Day.

Business seems to be going along as usual despite the weather issues, including fog. Many cabins are booked with people visiting for Presidents Day.
