5:24 P.M.
A fire was reported around 2:17 p.m. at a strip mall near Jones Boulevard and Desert Inn Road. Crews at the scene spotted the fire behind a stove and in a wall between two restaurants. They were able to put it out as it was spreading to the attic. The fire is under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
5:11 P.M.
Firefighters put out a small fire in a house at 4675 Plaza Pecos Drive, near Pecos Road and Harmon Avenue. The fire was reported at 3:47 p.m. and crews had it out within 13 minutes. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
