Las Vegas breaking news for November 11, 2017

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for Nov. 11, 2017.

10:00 P.M.

Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire at 9:27 p.m. in the 5600 block of Boulder Highway. The crews found a small interior fire near a laundry room. Sprinklers had activated and a quick attack by fire crews kept the fire from spreading to adjoining rooms or apartments. The cause of the fire is under investigation and damage has yet to be determined. 

9:00 P.M.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to a kitchen fire in the 5800 block of Fawn Avenue. All occupants made it out okay. Red Cross is responding to help two adults and six children. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

10:34 A.M.

One person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash around 1:39 a.m. at the intersection of East Tropicana Avenue and South Sandhill Road. The injured person was a passenger in one of the two vehicles involved and was not wearing a seatbelt. Both drivers showed signs of impairment and were booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
