This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for September 21, 2017.

7:17 P.M.

Las Vegas police say one person is dead after an apparent road rage incident near West Grant Teton Drive and North Fort Apache Road. They say the suspect shot the victim and then dialed 911. The suspect is in custody at this time.

4:30 P.M.

Two cars were involved in a crash where a pole was hit near Cheyenne Avenue and Nellis Boulevard. There are multiple injuries reported but they appear to be non-life threatening.

4:05 P.M.

Las Vegas police have taken a woman into custody after an hours-long barricade. Police were looking for the woman for unknown reasons around noon. They found her at an apartment in the 4800 block of Koval Lane, near Tropicana Avenue, around 12:40 p.m. and set up a perimeter. Police made contact with the woman on the phone and she hung up on them. Around 4 p.m., the apartment door opened and she was taken into custody at 4:05 p.m. Police are waiting for SWAT to clear the residence before reopening Koval Lane at Tropicana Avenue.

6:47 A.M.

Las Vegas police reported a vehicle crashed into a school bus around 6:47 a.m. at the intersection of East Charleston Boulevard and South Lamont Street, near Nellis Boulevard.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash and no significant injuries were reported. Responding officers did say that the driver of the car appeared to be impaired.

OVERNIGHT

Around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 20, a 22-year-old male was found shot in the 800 block of 24th Street, near Eastern and Washington avenues. The victim was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.  

There is no suspect information at this time.
