Las Vegas breaking news for October 14, 2017

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for October 14, 2017.

8:46 P.M.

Las Vegas police say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at West Flamingo Road and Lindell Road around 8:45 p.m. The person was transported to a hospital where they died. 

12:15 P.M.

A Delta flight to San Jose, California, from Las Vegas was delayed Saturday morning because 2 passengers found their way onto the tarmac.

A spokesperson for the airport says that the passengers became confused when they were told they needed to check their bags at the gate. They thought they had to take their bags to the tarmac to be loaded.

They were questioned by Las Vegas police and allowed back on the flight after it was deemed safe.

The flight was supposed to leave McCarran International Airport at 11:05 a.m. It was delayed for 45 minutes.
