3:55 P.M.

Combustible materials stored too close to an outdoor barbecue caused a fire on Parawan Street that damaged a Henderson home and displaced two adults.
 
Despite gusty wind conditions, firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the home’s interior. A fifth wheel camper and boat in the back yard were damaged, as well as an exterior wall and overhang.
 
There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.
 
The fire was reported by an off-duty firefighter who observed heavy black smoke coming from the back of the residence and called 911.
 
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental. The total estimated loss is $100,000.

2:35 P.M.

North Las Vegas police are looking for a 72-year-old Jeannie Daniels who was last seen walking away from her home near Commerce Street and Duke Avenue at 7 a.m. June 9. Daniels is often unaware of her surroundings and easily confused. She is a Filipino adult, 4-feet 8-inches tall, and 90 lbs.

Henderson Fire Department is fighting a fire on Parawan Street.

Crash on U.S. 95 Southbound at Rancho Drive (South). Right lane blocked.
